sudo apt-get install putty

click icon and run. nothing happen. run it on the terminal, get some error message about “font”.

“unable to load font “server:fixed”

then do some setting in putty's GUI:

  session -> "ONE SESSION" -> load

  connection -> SSH -> X11 -> Enable X11 forwarding

  windows -> fonts -> font used for ordinary text -> change... -> select one font that can preview

  session -> save
